Abstract

Abstract Two groups of psychiatrists in Buenos Aires, Argentina, are compared with two similar groups in Rochester, New York. The differences and similarities of their opinions on the etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of schizophrenia are discussed. The structured questionnaire used in this survey appears to be useful in comparing the conceptual frame of reference of groups of psychiatrists engaged in transcultural studies.
