Working with children, young people, their parents and carers is rewarding and challenging. You have chosen this profession because you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people. The EPD outcome statements set out what is expected of you in your second and third years post qualification. Working towards achieving these will enable you to grow in confidence, expertise and ability, making you a more autonomous professional. Also, your contribution to the team in which you work, your social work colleagues and other professionals is a vital part of building an integrated workforce that has the child as the focus of its efforts.
