Abstract

Abstract A 41 year old multiparous woman with an uncomplicated obstetric history was referred because of pre-eclampsia. As ultrasonic examination revealed severe IUGR and multiple congenital anomalies, trisomy 13 was suspected and confirmed by amniocentesis. This chromosomal anomaly should be suspected in cases where pre-eclampsia is associated with abnormal fetal morphology.
