Further Education College Capital Investment Fund (CCIF) Round 7 February 2014 Of interest to further education colleges Further Education College Capital Investment Fund (CCIF) Round 7 Further Education College Capital Investment Fund (CCIF) Round 7 1 of 24 NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED 1.0 Introduction 1.1 The Autumn Statement 2012 published on 5 December 2012 confirmed £270 million of additional capital funding for further education (FE) college capital in the financial year 2013-14. This will supplement the existing £280 million for 2014-15 as confirmed in the Skills Funding Statement published on 6 December 2012. The FE College Capital Investment Strategy published alongside the Skills Funding Statement on 6 December 2012 outlines the Government’s capital investment plans for the remainder of this parliament, sets out key priorities and an outline delivery plan and announces the creation of a Project Development Fund (PDF) and the College Capital Investment Fund (CCIF). 1.2 In addition to the above funding, the Agency anticipates a total grant of £58 million will be available for allocation in 2014-15 with a limited budget available in 2013-14. These figures may however be subject to minor change following the outcome of the Round 5 detailed applications or if any colleges with existing successful detailed applications decide not to progress their projects. With these additional funds now available, the Agency is now able to launch a further CCIF Round 6 for Expressions of Interest and two further detailed application rounds with Round 7 being for detailed applications only that are based on Expressions of Interest agreed in Round 6. As with earlier CCIF rounds, we expect rounds 6 and 7 to be oversubscribed and competitive. For details of the CCIF Round 6 Expressions of Interest, please see the application documentation on the Capital Page. This document sets out
