Abstract

Abstract Equilibrium viscosities of amorphous PdNiP and amorphous PdNiPSi were related to temperature by the Fulcher-Vogel equation. The accuracy of the parameters in this equation was determined by several methods. It was found that the parameter B lies between 2500 K and 9000 K for PdNiP and between 1900 K and 22 000 K for PdNiPSi. This wide range of possible parameter values gives an explanation for the large differences reported in the literature for similar and even for identical glasses.
