Abstract

Abstract The X-ray crystal structure of [Ru(CO)H 2(PPh 3) 3]·CH 2Cl 2 adopts a distorted octahedral geometry and displays an intriguing intramolecular unconventional RuH⋯HC hydrogen bond. A Cambridge Crystallographic Database search indicates these types of hydrogen bonds may be commonplace in transition metal hydride complexes which have triphenylphosphine ligands.
