Abstract

Abstract Sm-FeM-N magnetic alloy films were prepared by ion implantation, a new way to prepare magnetic thin films. The effect of Cr or Co on the structure and magnetic properties of Sm-FeM-N film have been studied. The results indicate that the saturation magnetization of the sample implanted with Co + increased 1.6 times more than that of Sm-FeM-N, while the coercive force of the sample implanted with Cr + increased twice more than before implantation. After Cr or Co ions were implanted, they did not form compounds with Fe atoms but only formed a solid solution.
