Abstract

Abstract The iron(III)-selenite with the formula given as Fe 2(SeO 3) 3 · 6H 2O was reinvestigated by means of synthesis, chemical analysis, IR spectroscopy, powder and single crystal X-ray data, and thermogravimetric analysis. Our results show that the formula Fe 2(SeO 3) 3 · 6H 2O should be Fe 2(SeO 3) 3 · 3H 2O.
