Abstract

Abstract The complexes formed between various proteins and quinones and between benzoquinone and the ethyl ester of glycine have been studied using ultra violet and visible spectroscopy, electron spin resonance and semiconductivity-techniques. The results are discussed in terms of the electronic transitions characteristic of these complexes and a possible structure for the protein-quinone complexes proposed.
