Abstract

Abstract A method of arterial regional chemotherapy (ARC) in conjunction with radical mastectomy is described. Twenty-one patients have been treated in this fashion. There were no operative deaths. ARC is a practical technical adjunct to operations on the breast. No conclusions can be drawn concerning long-range benefits, but the method appears to have sufficient promise to warrant further studies.
