Abstract

Abstract Emergence data of Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say) monitored from 1981 to 1985 were fitted into sigmoidal models of Richards, Morgan-Mercer-Flodin, Logistic, Gompertz and von Bertalanffy in an effort to describe emergence relative to both accumulated degree days and number of days after first emergence. On the average, the first adults emerged during the spring, summer and autumn at 68, 510 and 906 degree days above 10°C and emergence was spread over 56, 46 and 54 days, respectively.
