This report surveys three Danish software development companies with regard to their requirements engineering and acceptance testing processes. The purpose is to clarify how the industry performs these activities and how the connection between the two activities is in practice. Furthermore, common problems within the area of the mentioned activities are uncovered. Finally, agile methodologies are discussed and analyzed to see if they introduce new problems and which problems they solve. <br/> These steps are investigated using interviews in three companies and the analysis is structured according to a property matrix which can be used for classifying organizations and their methods. Combined with a model which describes the relationship between the elements contained in the matrix, the properties form the basis for the further analysis and comparison of the three companies.
