  • Literature

This section of the Royal Society website provides information about the Society's library and archives. The library dates from the foundation of the Society in the 1660s and is a rich resource for the study of the history of science and science policy. The library and archival catalogues are searchable, and there is more information available on the library's special collections, including its science policy collection, photo library, history of science collection and history of science journals collection. The website also includes the Sackler Archive Resource providing a database of biographical information on past Fellows of the Royal Society from 1660 onwards. The site makes use of HTML frames.
