Elevh lsan r enligt skollagen en del av grundskolan och ska st dja elevernas m jligheter att n kunskapsm len Elevh lsoarbete ska fr mst vara h lsofr mjande och f rebyggande p en universell niv som n r alla barn och unga Det finns d remot skillnader mellan skolor i det praktiska arbetet vilket inte r i samklang med de folkh lsopolitiska m len f r en god och j mlik h lsa Ur ett folkh lsovetenskapligt perspektiv r skolan en viktig arena som kan ses som en viktig h lsoresurs nu och f r kommande generationer En god h lsa genererar l rande och l rande bidrar till en god h lsa Ett v lfungerande elevh lsoarbete kan d rmed bidra till l ngsiktiga samh llsekonomiska vinster I studien anv ndes kvalitativ metod d syftet var att unders ka elevh lsopersonalens erfarenheter av f rebyggande arbete F r studien valdes m lstyrt urval med sju informanter som arbetar inom grundskolors elevh lsoteam Genom en manifest analysprocess med citat baserat p semistrukturerade intervjuer redog r denna studie f r elevh lsopersonalens subjektiva uppfattningar Resultatet visar en oj mlikhet i hur skolor arbetar f rebyggande utifr n resurser och intresse hos personal och ledning Dock genomsyras ett strukturerat v rdegrundsarbete samtliga skolor En stor del av resultatet redog r f r vikten av att alla tillsammans tar ansvar f r elevh lsoarbete Det kan uppn s genom tv rsektoriellt arbete och samverkan mellan flera professioner En engagerad rektor och ledning skapar f ruts ttningar f r ett lyckat elevh lsoarbete Detta i kombination med behovet p skolan avg r hur stor del av elevh lsoarbetet som prioriteras till f rebyggande och h lsofr mjande tg rder Elevh lsopersonalen lyfter ven en nskan och ett intresse f r fortsatt kompetensutveckling individuellt och f r samtliga professioner p skolan According to law student health is part of elementary school and must support students opportunities to reach the knowledge goals Student health work must primarily be health promotion and prevention on a universal level that reaches all children and young people There are differences between schools in the practical work which contradicts with the public health policy goals for good and equal health From a public health science perspective the school is an important arena that can be seen as an important health resource now and for generations to come Good health generates learning and learning generates good health A well-functioning student health program can thus contribute to long-term socioeconomic benefits A qualitative method was used as the purpose of the study was to investigate the student health staff s experiences of preventive work For the study a targeted sample was chosen with seven informants who work within elementary schools student health teams Through a manifest analysis process with quotes based on semi-structured interviews this study reports on the subjective perceptions of the student health staff The results show an inequality in how schools work preventively based on the resources and interest of staff and management at the school However all schools are permeated by a structured values-based work A large part of the result explains the importance of everyone taking responsibility for student health work It can be achieved through cross-sectoral work and cooperation between several professions Having a committed principal and management creates the conditions for successful student health work This in combination with the needs at the school must determine how much of the student health work is prioritized for prevention and health promotion actions The student health staff also highlight the necessity and interest in developing more competence in prevention both individually and for all professionals at the school
