In everyone s homes in the shower in the bathroom on the shelf in the utility room in a drawer there are probably shampoo conditioner and deodorant bottles When you wash your hair or want to smell good under your arms you use these products This work aims to explore how graphic design can be used to create an inclusive and multifaceted representation of various hair types ethnicities and gender identities within the skincare and haircare industry and how this representation can contribute to destigmatizing old gender norms and promoting a sense of acceptance and community This is achieved through the use of graphic design strategies to promote a more gender-neutral brand identity such as non-traditional visual elements inclusive typography and focus groups The work will also examine the factors influencing individuals decision-making processes when choosing and purchasing hair and body products where function scent price and quality play central roles This work aims to argue and convey why hair and body products do not need to be gender-specific as everyone washes their hair and body and wants to smell good The result of this investigation is the brand REKO a brand for hair and body products The purpose of the brand is to promote inclusion and break down the traditional gender stereotypes that dominate today s beauty industry inspiring the user both in terms of content and aesthetics I allas hem i duschen i badrummet p hyllan i st dskrubben i en l da ligger det troligen schampo balsam och deodorant flaskor N r du ska tv tta ditt h r eller vill dofta gott under armarna anv nder du dessa produkter Det h r arbetet ska unders ka hur grafisk design kan anv ndas f r att skapa en inkluderande och m ngfacetterad representation av olika h rtyper etniciteter och k nsidentiteter inom hud- och h rv rdsbranschen och hur den representationen kan bidra till att avdramatisera gamla k nsnormer och fr mja en k nsla av acceptans och gemenskap Detta genom att anv nda strategier inom grafisk design f r att fr mja en mer k nsneutral varum rkesidentitet s som icke-traditionella visuella element inkluderande typografi och fokusgrupper Arbetet kommer ocks att unders ka vilka faktorer som p verkar valprocessen hos individer n r de best mmer sig f r vilka h r- och kroppsprodukter de ska v lja och k pa d r funktion doft pris och kvalitet spelar centrala roller Detta arbete syftar till att argumentera och f rmedla varf r produkter f r h ret och kroppen inte beh ver vara k nsinriktat d alla tv ttar h ret och kroppen och vill dofta gott Resultatet av denna unders kning r varum rket REKO ett varum rke f r h r och kroppsprodukter Syftet med varum rket r att fr mja inkludering och bryta ner de traditionella k nsstereotyperna som dominerar dagens sk nhetsindustri inspirera anv ndaren b de inneh llsm ssigt och estetiskt
