Vandick Batista graduated in Oceanography from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1983), has a Master’s degree in Biological Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande (1988) and a PhD in Freshwater Biology and Inland Fisheries from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (1998). He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Alagoas. He has experience in Fisheries Resources and Ecology, with an emphasis on Applied Ecology, specifically: Amazon, fishing, fish population dynamics, fisheries management and elasmobranchs.
