Summary

I am a geneticist interested in the development and use of statistical methods, mathematical models and computational models to study genomic data. In particular, I have experience in the analysis of genome-wide datasets to study Human population structure, and in the quantification of population fragmentation, demographic decline and genetic diversity decline in endangered species.

Experience

Postdoctoral Researcher Since October 2014

Stanford University (Stanford US)

Education

Dr September 2010 - September 2014

University of Lausanne  (Lausanne CH)

Thesis entitled: "The measure and dynamics of genetic diversity in structured populations". Supervisor: Séverine Vuilleumier. - Develop mathematical models to describe the dynamics of genetic diversity. - Develop statistical methods to analyse genomic data. - Use High Performance Computing clusters to simulate large genomic datasets. - Analyse genomic data (HIV). - Write Grant applications. - Co-supervise Master students. - Assist the teaching at the University of Lausanne in various courses (statistics, population genetics, introduction to the statistical software R, network theory, project-based learning). - Collaborate with researchers from other universities and other fields (e.g., medecine, ecology)
