I did my Ph.D. in Pamplona (Spain) and worked developing and characterizing a mouse model for the study of hepatitis Delta virus (HDV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. I'm currently interested in understanding how Adenovirus (Ad) interacts with the host and how these interactions dictate species-specific replication. Understanding the mechanism of interaction between the Ad components and the host is necessary to develop better animal models for human Ad infections and further facilitate the use of Ad vectors for clinical applications (eg. Oncolytic Therapeutics, Ad-Based vaccines, etc)
