I did my Ph.D. at KAIST in South Korea, studying how light signaling pathways regulate plant leaf senescence. My interests lie in using bioinformatics to analyze large data sets to generate new biological hypotheses that can then be tested at the bench. I am applying this approach to DNA viruses in order to better understand the host-cell interactions so that we may generate novel oncolytic viral therapies. My hope is that this interdisciplinary strategy leads us toward a cure for cancer.
