Jean-Pierre has worked in both France and Silicon Valley, alternating technical and management positions in research and industry. He was a research scientist at IBM-San Jose, research staff at France’s National Research Center (CNRS), development manager at Applied Magnetics in Santa Barbara and Technical Director at PHS-MEMS, a french start-up. He then launched and directed Spintec and founded Crocus where he served as CTO for 5 years. He is now back at Spintec as Executive Director. Jean-Pierre holds many international patents and has authored more than 100 scientific publications. Jean-Pierre holds an engineering degree from the Institut National Polytechnique (Grenoble) and a PhD in Physics from Grenoble University (France).
