Jason Zlotnicki is a Resident Physician in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is completing a one-year rotation in the laboratory with full support from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, prior to resuming his clinical training on a full-time basis. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (2010-2014) after earning his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, his research projects focus on the clinical assessment of knee instability using the Pivot Shift Test and a novel tablet-based software, studying the learning and application of the Standardized Pivot Shift in various sub-groups of clinicians, and development of a model for robot-assisted assessment of ankle syndesmosis biomechanics.
