Hiroko Matsui obtained Bachelor degree in mathematics at Nara Women’s University in Japan. She was involved bioinformatics projects at Mitsubishi Space Software Co., Ltd in Japan as a software engineer, following to move in U.S. to study bioinformatics. She is currently a MS student in San Diego State University bioinformatics program, recently finished a thesis research in cystic fibrosis. Applying statistic methods to SNP arrays and array CGH analysis, she studied genomic variation in cystic fibrosis.
