Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Master's Degree in Public Health with Specialization in Community Nutrition and Doctorate in Medicine. She is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level I.
She has worked as a researcher in the area of epidemiology and health services since 1997 in the most important social security institution in Mexico: Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, as well as in one of the most recognized Universities: Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. School of Public Health
She has published articles in the field of community nutrition and others aimed at identifying the needs, determinants and consequences in health, in journals included in the Journal Citation Report; the results have been applied and used by managers for timely decision making with scientific bases in the most important social security institution in Mexico.
She is currently responsible for the Coordination of the Master of Science in Public Health at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, this program has international accreditation by the German agency ASIIN and by the National Program of Quality Graduate Studies PNPC-CONACYT. His activities have been directed to research, teaching and training of human resources in research in Public Health Sciences.
