David Solomont possesses four decades of experience which encompasses working in the software, technology, media, gaming, and transportation industries.
In his practice, Solomont has developed professional skills in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, business development, strategic planning, and venture capital.
Solomont dedicates on investing in early stage companies. He focuses mostly on technology companies. Moreover, he is also an experienced advisor who advises companies on business development, funding, mergers and acquisitions, and team building.
As a skilled entrepreneur with strong vision, Solomont founded three companies: ev Transportation Services, Inc ("evTS") in 2015, Common Angels in 1998, and Business & Professional Software, Inc. in 1980. Currently, he serves as the Chairman and CEO of evTS. Until 1994, Solomont served as Chairman of Common Angels, which was one of the first institutionalized angel groups in the USA.
In the course of his broad working history, Solomont held positions in a number of companies and institutions. . Since 2018 he is a Chairman at OYO Toys. Previously he served as a founding Trustee and past Chairman at Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, a Technology Advisor to the Internet Working Group at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, an Overseer and member of the Information Technology Committeet at the Museum of Science in Boston, a member of Walnut Ventures.
After finishing high school at Maimonides School, David Solomont enrolled at Tufts University. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from this university. Solomont finished his master studies at the MIT’s Sloan School and obtained Master’s Degree in Management from this university.
