The Centre de recherche du château de Versailles is attempting to understand the networks that were woven within the court. Centered around studying the listing of offices, their history and their method of transmission, researchers seek to understand both the mechanisms of social ascent and the hierarchical structures of royal houses. Polaris OS was chosen for its flexibility (data models, forms, workflows...), its search engine capacity and data visualisation interfaces (timeline, map, network graph...). It ensures that the collected prosopographical data through the research program are captured, searched and analyzed, with the aim of studying and visualizing the networks at the court of Versailles.
