COnTEXTES, an open access journal for the sociology of literature, shows that it is still possible to create new journals that earn recognition quickly in the field concerned. During Open Access Week 2013 in Paris, Björn-Olav Dozo explained how he and colleagues created the journal COnTEXTES and how it rapidly made a name for itself.
Björn-Olav Dozo spoke at Open Access Week 2013 in Paris about his experiences as a researcher and co-founder of an OA journal. COnTEXTES was created in 2006 by PhD students and researchers in sociology of literature. He explains the choice of the open access model and the factors allowing the journal to gain the respect of the discipline.
This second evening of Open Access Week 2013 in Paris was held at EHESS and focused on the theme of “Open Access for Research”.
