New Research on Risks: The Next Generation of AXA Research Fund Fellows to Be Unveiled Friday

Researchers taking on a spectrum of current and emerging risks will join the ranks of innovative AXA-funded projects.

Each year the AXA Research Fund looks for top-notch scientists dedicated to tackling the most pressing issues facing us all and bringing an innovative approach to the task. It’s a tall order, but they’ve found projects fitting the bill that will be announced this Friday with an environmental focus, addressing life risks, and exploring socioeconomic challenges for society today.

Follow #AXARF on Twitter this Friday, April 8th, from 11:00am (Paris time) to learn about the risks, current and emerging, that the newest members of the AXA community are taking on.

You’ll learn about the future of research reducing a host of risks for the planet and its people.

The Transformative Power of Data

Much of this innovative research has a special relationship to data. The huge amounts of it now available and the ability to protect sensitive data enable research approaches that were never possible before. They also create entirely new risks—around data privacy, for instance—that no one had imagined until today. The opportunities and challenges presented by data’s ever-increasing role in society is a central focus of AXA Research Fund-supported projects this year. Friday’s keynote speaker and AXA Scientific Board member, Lawrence Lessig, will have a thing or two to say about data, science and society.

So, join the @AXAResearchFund online, this Friday, April 8th at 11:00 CET, to meet the newest #AXARF fellows and discover brand-new research on a quest for solutions to the risks facing our world today.
