Every week, follow journalism studentArthur (Dimitri Pougnet) as he learns about the experience of doing a doctorate through a series of encounters that will change his life!

Episode 1: Raoul de Charette, researcher at MINES ParisTech
Throughout the series, Arthur will meet PhD students and young researchers with diverse personalities and paths – experiences that will change him and lead him to ask questions about his own future.
For his first interview, Arthur introduces himself to Raoul de Charette, with the hope of being seen as a professional journalist. But his shyness and his respect for the other young man lead him to step aside, giving the researcher free rein to present his work…even to the point of monopolizing the camera.
It has to be said, with his unusual path, Raoul de Charette is an impressive guy. With a background in graphic arts, he was able to apply his expertise in image analysis to the complex problems involved in developing techniques of environment visualization and detection for automobiles. His self-assuredness in the face of complexity and his serenity regarding his future are troubling for our young reporter, lacking confidence in himself…
