[Edit on 10/30/2014] What’s going on in the mind of an artist? What defines a creative personality? This week, Arthur meets Christine Kirsch, a third-year PhD student at the University of Luxembourg. Her field: the psychology of creativity.

In the streets of the eponymous capital of Luxembourg, Arthur learns about the work of Christine and how PhD studies work in this country. The young polyglot explains to him that, unlike in France, a Luxembourgish thesis can consist of several articles – not necessarily a long dissertation.

Artists, the subject of Christine’s studies, include a vast field of characters: from painters to dancers to scientists. Her research has led her to support the hypothesis that creativity is innate and flows from a personality that is simultaneously introverted and extroverted.

While Arthur continues to worry about not seeing his thesis through to the end, we see his research progressing every week through more and more fascinating encounters.
